Business sellers on Reluv

Some sellers here are registered businesses rather than individuals clearing their wardrobe. They carry a Trader badge, and buying from them gives you extra rights under UK consumer law.

Buying from a business seller

14 days to change your mind

You can cancel a purchase from a business seller without giving a reason. The right starts the moment you buy and runs until 14 days after your item arrives, so you can cancel before it has even been posted. Tell us (from your order page or by messaging us) and we do whichever is simplest: cancel it outright if nothing has shipped, or arrange the return if it has. This is a statutory right on top of everything else below, and private sellers are not required to offer it. One genuine exclusion: sealed beauty items once opened. Some orders (several items, orders you post yourself, delivery outside the UK), we can't process automatically yet, so a person handles those by hand; the right itself is unaffected.

You post the item back

If you change your mind, you arrange the return: use our prepaid label (its cost comes out of your refund, so you don't pay upfront), or post it back yourself and pay the carrier directly, with nothing deducted. The exact label cost is always shown before you confirm anything. If you post it yourself, add your proof of postage afterwards. Your Post Office or courier receipt is what we need. We'll refund you within 14 days of your proof, or within 14 days of the item reaching the seller, whichever comes first.

Your refund

Your refund goes to your original payment method: the item price, the Buyer Protection fee, and standard delivery, less return postage if you used our prepaid label. If you paid extra for a faster delivery option, only the standard cost comes back. It's issued once the seller confirms your item is back, or automatically if they don't get to it, so you're never left waiting on them. An item returned used or damaged beyond normal handling may be refunded less.

You can see who you're buying from

Business sellers publish their trading name, a business address and a contact email, so you always know who you're contracting with. The trading name is on the shop and every listing. Sign in, it's free, to see the address and email; there is no option for a business seller to withhold them.

Faulty or not as described

Separate from changing your mind, you're covered if an item arrives damaged, doesn't match its description, or never turns up. That applies to every order on Reluv; open a case from the order and we'll step in.

The full terms for a specific purchase (including the exact refund figure and return deadline) are shown on the listing and again at checkout before you pay.

Selling as a business

If you buy to resell, sell at volume, or already trade elsewhere, you're a business seller in law, whether or not you feel like one. Registering as a Reluv Trader puts you on the right footing instead of leaving you exposed.

A badge buyers trust

Your shop shows a Trader badge and your trading details, so buyers know they're dealing with a real business.

Tools built for volume

Stock quantities, size and colour variants, per-item SKUs, bulk listing actions, and insights into what's actually selling.

Faster dispatch

Buy and print shipping labels in batches, with a pack sheet ordered by where your stock lives.

You accept 14-day returns

This is the obligation, stated plainly: buyers can cancel within 14 days of delivery for any reason. They pay return postage, and your payout is held until the return is settled. It isn't optional; it's the law for business sellers, and it's the main thing to weigh up before applying.
